I guess you're all familiar with this cute little animated character called Fievel: He is a little Russian mouse who travelled across the sea to America. For an adventure title made for children, this is a good game: It will draw the little ones' attention and will make them think every now and again. When he arrives alone in the New World, he keeps up hope, searching for his family, making new friends, and running and dodging the cats he thought he'd be rid off. I understand this is meant to be a series of escapades in one big city for a little mouse, but the side characters' goal to get rid of the cats doesn't even conclude at the very end and is kind of forgotten about by the time the third act begins in favor of wrapping up Fievel's arch.
Alas, a storm caught him, and now he is alone. Fivel did not hope for such luck, but the hero still fortunate - he was not on a deserted island, and close to the port of New York. The game was made for children and us grownups who refuse to age at heart. It's a brave little mouse, who decided to leave Russia, to look at the world around us. However, the real stand out is Somewhere Out There; it perfectly captures the theme that even through the most difficult and dark times in life, it's important to look on the bright side because there's a good chance things will turn out for the better very soon. Not to mention, it's enough to even make an old man cry it's so emotional.

Right off the bat, this movie never pulls any punches when it needs to. But the game just lacks that certain something to make it a five-pointer.
It seems absurd that anyone would have this expectation, but at the same time it is not completely wrong. Also, I think the film would have been better without the inclusion of Warren T. The animation of this film is some of Don Bluth's best work. . Nonetheless, I still think An American Tail holds up as an emotional albeit optimistic tale that helps prove Don Bluth's belief that children can handle just about anything as long as you give them a happy ending in return. The story, on the other hand, is heavily influenced by Steven Spielberg, who took bits and pieces of his own family's story as they came to America. Exaggerated, yes, but compared to the hardships and often death waiting behind in Eastern Europe, the slums of New York might have been seen as a salvation -- in many ways they were! Did immigrants see America as a land without cats and streets paved with golden cheese? His first task is to find his family.
When the storm subsides, a mouse makes waves on the shore. Kid surreptitiously penetrate the ship, enjoying their determination, but soon begins to regret this trip. In terms of negatives, I think the film's story kinda went all over the place some of the time. If Abandonia is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online for another year. From the highly entertaining There Are No Cats in America, to the whimsically optimistic Never Say Never, to the comical and upbeat Duo, these songs really emphasize both the optimistic tone and the false belief that America is entirely free of criminals. Overall, I give this game a 4.
The characters besides Fievel are more of a mix, with some either being good supporters or being rather unnecessary. The only complaint with the animation is that it's pretty obvious when some shots are reused, although that's more a fault of the small budget the film had. If everyone reading this gave the price of a cup of coffee, our fundraiser would be made easier. Obviously Fievel's family is the main goal of the film, but the kind spirited father, worrisome mother and sweet sister give the right amount of closure to make the audience want to see them back together with their little boy. Of course there's Tiger voiced by Dom DeLuise, but he tended to be more annoying than funny and he could have done more in the film to make me remember him. A must-watch for every kid and adult. But with that out of the way, how does this movie hold up? Luckily, he manages to sail to New York in a bottle. Now, my guess is they were not involved in the Wild West as in the sequel , but for the first time around the parallels are there. I watched this over and over again and still love it. The film lets Fievel down so much that when he finally reunites with his family at the end, it's an incredibly happy and heart melting moment that really makes all those hardships worth it.
