If you open the roof lid you see there is a button on one of the latches that tells the car that the roof is securely closed if your roof lid is not secure the trunk wont open. GunnerNell, maybe the third time is the charm. The latches are engaging but not creating a proper seal. I still love the car, but I wish I would have gotten the manual transmission. Only way to know if the motor drives are stripped are by confirming they are engaged, then rotate without creating movement.
